Philippine Airlines (PAL) will begin operating daily nonstop flights between Manila and Doha, the capital of Qatar, on June 16, 2025. As a result, there are no longer any stops or layovers required for passengers flying straight from the Philippines to Doha.
This new flight service is made possible through a codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways. A codeshare means that even though you book your ticket with PAL, you can continue your trip using Qatar Airways flights, all on a single booking. Once you land in Doha, you’ll have the option to connect to over 170 destinations that Qatar Airways serves across the globe.
Filipino tourists will now find it much simpler and more comfortable to travel to locations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and many other regions of the world as a result of this agreement. Time and effort can be saved by organising everything at once, eliminating the need to schedule numerous tickets or worry about changing airlines.
Whether you’re flying for work, vacation, or to visit family overseas, this new daily service gives you more travel options, smoother connections, and a better overall flying experience.
Better Travel Options with New Manila to Doha Flights
The daily flights between Manila and Doha are a big move for PAL as the airline continues to grow internationally. By working closely with Qatar Airways, PAL passengers will now enjoy smoother connections to cities around the world.
“This partnership helps our passengers travel more easily,” said PAL President and COO Stanley Ng. “It also gives them more choices and flexibility, whether they are flying for business or a vacation.”
Cebu Hub Grows with New International and Local Flights
While Manila to Doha is the big news, PAL is also giving a major push to its Cebu hub. New routes and extra flights are being added to make Cebu a stronger travel centre, especially as the summer travel season approaches.
A new direct flight from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is now available. PAL has also added more flights from Cebu to popular beach destinations like Puerto Princesa, Coron, and Siargao.
New Manila to Da Nang Route Starts in July 2025
Additionally, on July 1, 2025, PAL will launch a new international service between Manila and Da Nang, Vietnam. This service, which will operate three times a week, will provide tourists with yet another fantastic choice for beach and cultural vacations.
Within the Philippines, PAL is increasing flights between Clark and Basco (in Batanes) and Clark and Siargao, giving people in northern Luzon more ways to fly to beautiful island spots.
PAL’s Strong Growth and Future Plans
As of May 2025, PAL and its regional brand, PAL Express, are flying to 32 local and 41 international destinations across Asia, North America, and Oceania.
With an operational income of $314 million (₱17.4 billion) and a record profit of $250 million (₱13.6 billion), the airline enjoyed a stellar start to 2023. Additionally, PAL stated that it will keep spending money on new aircraft in order to expand its flying schedule and enhance its offerings.
